Alison Broughton, Skipper of The Travel Desk
To me, the world is an oyster, filled with unforgettable destination pearls—and my passion is helping you discover those hidden gems. At The Travel Desk, we like to say we’re “saving the world one vacation booking at a time.” Travel not only recharges you mentally and physically, it also inspires greater compassion and understanding of other cultures.
My travels have taken me across the globe—from Peru, Kenya, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Morocco, Botswana, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, and the Galápagos Islands to the Caribbean, Mexico, and the Cook Islands. Africa, however, holds a special place in my heart. Whether it’s trekking to see gorillas, witnessing the Great Migration, or diving with Great White Sharks, I love designing life-changing African adventures. In fact, Africa has become our office’s signature specialty.
With two decades in the industry, I’ve learned that personal experience is invaluable when crafting seamless itineraries. Each trip I’ve taken has given me insight, tips, and lessons that help me anticipate details and smooth out any challenges for my clients.
I’m also proud to hold certifications with leading partners such as G Adventures, Exodus, Globus, Paul Gauguin, AMA Waterways, Viking Cruises, Insight Vacations, Trafalgar, Collette, Kensington Tours, and more—ensuring my clients always have the best options available.
“Saving the world one vacation booking at a time.”

Lisa Ziehr: Flip Flops and Tank Tops
A dedicated Travel Advisor with nearly 10 years of experience, I take pride in creating one-of-a-kind vacations by truly listening to my clients’ needs and dreams.
I’ve explored the Caribbean extensively—Curacao, Bahamas, and Turks & Caicos are among my favourite beach destinations. My travels have also taken me across Mexico, Jamaica, Cuba, and vibrant U.S. cities like Los Angeles, Nashville, Las Vegas, and Hawaii. And of course, the magic of Disney has a special place in my heart—whether in California or Florida, it never loses its sparkle, even as an adult! ✨
My firsthand experiences allow me to provide valuable insights, from the best resorts to hidden gems. I treat every trip as if it were my own, taking the time to understand preferences, desires, and budget to ensure each vacation is seamless and unforgettable.
I graduated Summa Cum Laude with my Degree in Travel, and I specialize in luxury travel, family vacations, Disney, destination weddings, Europe, and everything in between. I’m also proud to hold my CTC Designation from ACTA and specialist certifications with Sandals & Beaches, Hyatt, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, and Silversea Cruises.
For me, travel is about more than just a getaway—it’s about creating memories that last a lifetime.
“Travel is not a reward for working—it’s education for living.” – Anthony Bourdain
Jacquie Kuhl
A passionate traveler and cruise enthusiast, I believe that travel is all about experiences—the sights, sounds, and moments that stay with you long after the trip is over. I’ve sailed on 12 ocean cruises and 1 river cruise, each one offering new perspectives and memories, but I’m just as drawn to the streets of a new city, the rhythms of daily life, and the natural wonders that remind us how beautifully diverse our world is.
My journeys have taken me across Europe by car, train, bus, and ship, as well as to South America. Highlights include exploring Machu Picchu, rounding Cape Horn, and cruising the Amazon River—an adventure that remains one of the most incredible experiences of my life. The Galápagos Islands and Easter Island are still on my list, and I can’t wait to continue adding new chapters to my travel story.
As an advisor, my goal is to make planning your trip as joyful as the journey itself. I take the time to understand your vision and bring it to life, ensuring your experience is everything you want—and more.
Kristen "New Trip, New Shoes" McHausler
Kristen at the Arc De Triomphe, paris
Kristen was born with the travel bug (super incurable) and even though she's tried to suppress it (okay, she hasn't really tried *that* hard), the travel bug runs strong in her.
She has explored parts of Europe, Central America, bits of the Caribbean, Canada & the USA, however she still has so much more to knock off her list!
Top destinations include Germany & Costa Rica, and her absolute favourite thing to do is travelling off-season in a brand new pair of shoes. Her favourite pair (Germany) were worn out before her trip was even over!
Quirky trait? She loves all random hobbies, and intends to try as many at least once in her lifetime (including but not limited to playing the Ukulele, cake decorating, knitting, calligraphy and more).

Brenda Seipert, Beach Addict
Brenda is the Lamont Branch of our team, and comes with quite extensive travel history. She has travelled to Disneyland, Las Vegas, Jamaica, Cuba (Loves Havana), just about everywhere in Mexico along the coast (land and cruise) and the Bahamas. She loves sea-dooing, para-sailing, touring tequila factories; all in a days work for this Grandmother of 4! She's also traveled to Finland, Norway and Sweden. When she's not running her farm you can find her camping and fishing. Fun fact? She was a Deputy Firefighter for 15 years and an EMT as well!
