Air Canada's new reservation system: how it affects you.

Ok OK, who sends out an email at 4pm on a Friday afternoon, right? Yup, The Travel Desk is doing it today, because this is rather important for many of our clients. If you have booked a ticket through us for upcoming travel of any future date please keep reading.

Air Canada has moved reservation systems, they started this process late last week and finished moving all the files over as of yesterday. What this mean for you? Anyone who is flying with Air Canada to anywhere, or anyone who has even one leg of their journey on an Air Canada flight now has a new file number.

The file number (locator) that you use to check in online with Air Canada is different with the new system.

We are starting to receive the new confirmations, and while we are trying to forward this information to our clients they are coming in slowly and we are wanting to be proactive.

Please have a look at tickets you have purchased through us (or anyone for that matter) and if you do have an Air Canada segment or entire ticket, reach out to us and we can confirm your new reservation number. The itineraries have not changed, the ticket numbers have not changed, just the reservation/locator/file number has. And this is the code the airline uses to pull up your file and you use for online check in.

Do reach out and let us know if you have an Air Canada ticket (or segment) and we will be sure to make a list and as soon as we get your new ticket information we will forward it to you.

Happy Friday everyone and have a great weekend.
