Winter Flight Schedule to the South

Oct 2nd and it's snowing. Again. Or slushing depending on what area you live in. Regardless, I'm sure most of us feel a chill on this dreary Monday dreaming of warmer winds, and sunnier destinations.

Now that everyone has gotten back into the rhythm of the fall season, we figured it was time to let you know about the non-stop flight options available from Edmonton to sun destinations this coming winter/spring season. Of course there are many more options with connections, for now we will focus on the non-stops:

Varadero, Cuba: Saturday and Sundays (Sunwing) and Mondays (Transat)
Liberia, Costa Rica: Sundays (starting Dec 17th with Sunwing)
Montego Bay, Jamaica: Mondays (starting Nov 6th with Sunwing)
Punta Cana, Dominican Republic: Friday's (Nov 3rd with Transat) & Mondays (starting Dec 18th with Sunwing)
Huatulco, Mexico: Monday (18Dec Transat) & Tuesdays (Nov 14th with Sunwing)
Puerto Vallarta, Mexico: Wednesday and Saturday (Transat) & Friday's (Sunwing)
Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo, Mexico: Thursday (starting Dec 14th with Sunwing)
Los Cabos, Mexico: Saturdays (starting Dec 16th with Sunwing and Thursdays in Nov)
Mazatlan, Mexico: Friday (Sunwing)
Manzanillo: Wednesdays (starting Dec 20th with Sunwing)
Cancun, Mexico: every day except Mondays (wth Sunwing and/or Transat)

As you can see, quite a bit of variety, which is great for us locals! Of course there are many options with WestJet Vacations as well - however not all flights are non-stop so not as easy to list everything.

Please do call or email us for specific pricing on your upcoming vacation; the goal of this is to give you an idea of the optionals available to us from central Alberta and we are more than happy to quote you specific destinations and resorts for you.

I (Ned) am off to Huatulco in November, and was mentally packing this morning after I looked out the window, but can you blame me? Imagining myself in flip flops and sun dresses and curling my toes in the hot sand! For now, I'll put on my wool socks and keep on dreaming for the next 6 weeks!

Cheers,
Ned and Alison!
